This program is on hold until further notice due to COVID-19.
About: The Autism Society and AMC Theatres collaborate to provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for family members and children on the autism spectrum and other disabilities. The movie auditorium keeps their lights turned slightly up (slim lights will remain on) and the sound turned slightly down. The movie (typically G- or PG-rated) will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. and won’t show previews or advertisements. People are permitted to bring their own gluten-free, casein-free snacks from home respecting dietary needs of people on the spectrum. Additionally AMC’s “Silence is Golden®” policy will not be enforced unless the safety of the audience is questioned. The ASSA’s goal is to provide an opportunity for family members and children on the autism spectrum and/or other disabilities to experience a theater setting that is welcoming, inclusive and supportive to dietary needs. For all Sensory Friendly Film showings offered at AMC Foothills, please go to https://www.amctheatres.com/programs/sensory-friendly-films.
Tickets: Each family or group is given up to 4 tickets. There are a limited amount of tickets available for the showing through ASSA. If you need additional tickets, you may purchase them at the box office for $4.23 per ticket. You may pick up tickets at the Autism Society table near entrance of theater 15-30 minutes before the showing.
